| Behavioral Interview Tips

Currently, 30 percent of all organizations
are using behavioral interviewing to some degree. So preparation
for behavioral interview is important. Following are some
behavioral interview tips

| 1.
Know About the Company |
Go
to the employer's web site for information such as:
• How big is the company in terms of annual sales
or employees?
• What does the company say about its products or
services?
• Anything about your platform in their site?

| 2.
Think of Some Achievements |
Memorize 2 or 3 achievements stories.
Tell them about something you've done or achieved in school
or college. Dont overdo it ;-).These stories demonstrate
all those hard-to-measure qualities like judgment, initiative,
teamwork or leadership.

Location |
Confirm the date, time and location
of the interview. Be on time...
|
| 4.
Pick your dress early |
Lay out your interview outfit
the night before, get a good night's rest, and always get
an early start.

Cell phones off |
Getting a phone call in the middle
of an interview ... that would be a mess.

| 6.
Be on target |
Be specific and provide plenty
of details. Describe in detail how you are a goal-oriented
person. Explain and show the details that back up your answers.

Ask about the position |
Ask uestions about the position
but dont overdo it.. ;-). An interview is a chance for you
to learn more about the job and the company.

Tips - Do's |
- Take your interview confirmation letter with you.
- Analyze the position for which you are applying and identify
the critical capabilities.
- Watch your grammar. Interviewers are interested in articulate
candidates. Use pauses rather than "uhs."
- Be aware of your non-verbal communication, especially your
posture.
- Be yourself. Display energy and a positive attitude. Show
you are sincerely interested. Be prepared to talk about yourself
in a clear, concise manner.
- Focus on your communication skills, analytical abilities
and other strengths.
- Be alert and attentive. Answer the questions asked. Stick
to the subject.
- Be prepared to discuss any aspect of your resume in depth.
- Emphasize your strong points. Be self-confident.
- Be prepared to answer tough questions.
- Be cool when you are on the spot, last minute preparations
wouldnt do much.
